In the bmp view of the world, there are at least two tracks of education or human capital development. Formal education from childhood to advanced degrees, or technical training, and then to professional life.  bmpUnited recognizes that not everyone can join in, or sustain the academic line of development. TMTF, or ‘teach me to fish’ is a form of  education assistance program that bmp uses  to address this population.

We believe that when you “give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; but teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. That is why bmp uses the TMTF program to draw and direct the attention of potential students to learn a trade or skill, such as tailoring, solar installation engineer, and auto mechanic, to mention a few examples. Living in a community without formal education or a skill does NOT improve Community Growth. Everyone must get involved.
